Certainly it's part of their worldview that sex should be free, easy, and unconnected to any messy biological consequences involving independent human beings. At worst, a little unimportant piece of tissue that can be destroyed. Or, if an actual baby is born, then a small creature whose expenses will be covered by a benevolent society.

But I don't think liberals adopt those views because they're a good way to get rid of Christianity. I think they want to get rid of Christianity because it opposes the ambition to make sex free, easy, and consequence-free.Texan99https://www.blogger.com/profile/10479561573903660086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5492310882851199969.post-16602091551116163762013-02-11T18:23:01.926-05:002013-02-11T18:23:01.926-05:00>> I don't think that's the explanat...>> I don't think that's the explanation to handing out birth control.>>

C'mon now. If your goal is to destroy a moral religious base by addicting young people to sex, you don't want them having oodles and oodles of kids now, do you? Some of them might figure out what makes those kids - or actually turn out to be responsible and care for the kids...no, the answer is to make sex almost compulsory and without consequence. Hence birth control.sueknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5492310882851199969.post-20185614620147119442013-02-11T13:33:10.449-05:002013-02-11T13:33:10.449-05:00Paul Harvey 1965 - www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaGVCO6...Paul Harvey 1965 - www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaGVCO6CByQ

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5492310882851199969.post-89615176366101468112013-02-11T13:16:43.914-05:002013-02-11T13:16:43.914-05:00While I don't doubt that Christianity is under...While I don't doubt that Christianity is under attack, I don't think that's the explanation to handing out birth control. Yes, it's cheap, and yes, the kids could easily afford it. But the idea is that the state has to step in and make everybody do what's in their best interests. We must never leave them to suffer the consequences of any mistakes. The state isn't here just to maintain some basic order and coordinate large, complicated human endeavors (like national defense) that require a good bit of coercion -- it's here to smooth every wrinkle and straighten every path.Texan99https://www.blogger.com/profile/10479561573903660086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5492310882851199969.post-55219270568140241402013-02-10T19:15:18.166-05:002013-02-10T19:15:18.166-05:00A very long number of years ago (how many I'll...A very long number of years ago (how many I'll not mention!) our principal (Sister Miriam) told us that the Communists would strive to destroy American society and that they would do so by using sex as a means. I thought she was nuts.

I was wrong. She was right.

If you want the State to be the ultimate authority, you have to destroy any other authority. The Church - or any belief in God and His commandments - has to go. The authority of the family - which might teach about God and His commandments - have to go. How to destroy them? Destroy their authority by the one drive mankind has that is stronger than the family bond - sex.

And it's happening. Has happened. sueknoreply@blogger.com
