Drum Roll Please

With my cumulative hits to this blog about to reach a milestone high, I wanted to put it all into perspective, so I briefly perused the exceptional blogs of my Watcher’s Council colleagues.

Hmmmm, lets see, of my fellow watcher’s counsel members with hit counters I could find . . . .

The incredible Rick Moran is running on 2.3 million

The Education Wonks are sprinting towards a million.

Bookworm Room and Done With Mirrors come in at 700,000+

Glittering Eye went over 600,000 a few weeks ago

Rhymes With Right is pushing near 400,000

Soccer Dad passed a cool quarter million hits ages ago

Joshua Pundit and Hillbilly White Trash will soon hit 200,000

And . . . . . drum roll, please . . . . . . . .

My blog today pass the milestone of 25,000 hits

Lollllllllllllllllllllllll . . . . .

I personally want to thank all three people who stop by this blog on a daily basis, and Mom, you know that includes you . . . .

  1. I can't even get my mother to stop by my blog on a daily basis!

  2. Don't sell yourself short - you have a great blog here; you can't help it if your mother has great taste.

  3. Hey! I think I used to know that girl. Quality, not quantity, man.

  4. Wow, quite the drummer you've got 'round these parts, G. Congrats on the milestone. I'm the fourth reader that stops by, but as often as not I'm eyeballing your goodness through the lens of Google reader. Damn that RSS sindication!

  6. Thank you all for the comments. They are appreciated.

The drummer, by the way, is British songwriter and model Jentina. This was from a spoof ad.

  7. Belay that, the video has been taken down. Lot's of stills here however.

  8. Bravo, GW!

You know I think you are just the best.

I do believe you are well on your way, my soon-to-be-global-hitmonger friend. And we, your devoted fans, are with you every step of the way!

Please remember us when you hit the bigtime...

  9. Congrats! One of the things is that, as your numbers grow, they tend to grow exponentially. With your great writing and analysis, you'll be at six digits before you know it.

  10. Hmmm, not the one I knew then. She was half Comanche, half Confederate and deaf-mute. But she made a ton of noise. And was deadly in a knife-fight.

  11. Holy S****, Callimachus, what kind of women are living in Pennsylvania these days? I must admit that I have gone my entire life without seeing a beautiful deaf mute drummer engage in a knife fight. Indeed, I have never even thought to combine those particular adjectives and nouns together in a single sentence prior to this moment. Like any good story teller, you have intrigued your audience. Do please elaborate.

  12. Well, she wasn't in Pa.; she was in Birmingham, Ala. And she also was a Druid priestess. And a dancer in a club (she can't hear, but she can feel beats). And a bunch of other stuff. Also a contractor working in Iraq recently. There's a few things she wrote on my blog somewhere. For a while she seemed likely to be the next Mrs. C., but it didn't happen. We're still friends.
