Holy Flubber, Bat Woman

A few days ago, Obama's bounce had put him at an 8 point lead among likely voters and, for the first time, at the 50% mark. A Republican bounce from the Palin pick and the Convention was expected - but I doubt if anyone thought that it would this big. Its an 18 point swing. This the latest from USA Today/Gallup:

In the new poll, taken Friday through Sunday, McCain leads Obama by 54%-44% among those seen as most likely to vote. The survey of 1,022 adults, including 959 registered voters, has a margin of error of +/— 3 points for both samples.

Read the entire article. Wow. That has to be heartening news.

The happiest person in America today - the guy or gal who owns the Malox concession next to DNC headquarter.

Whatever happens at the end of this race, there are going to be stasticians and political scientists spending entire careers doing the forensic analysis of this election.
