The Results From Last Weeks Vote

Each week, the members of the Watcher's Council nominate one of their own posts and a second from outside the Council for consideration by other council members in a contest for best post. The Watcher publishes the results each Friday. And the results of this weeks voting are in:

This week's voting ended in a tie for first place with the watcher breaking the tie. His pick for the winner this week, the Colossus of Rhodey's The Inanity Of The Rest Of The West, an exceptional post documenting the left's war on freedom of speech and their threats of violence:

is this what the West wants? Is this the Western tradition? Where actual hardcore terrorists are given the same rights as common, law-abiding citizens -- yet your speech can get you jail time because it may offend some government bureaucrat's sense of what is "right?" This is how the American mainstream media is emulating the Euros/Canadians: They attempt to relate, or at the worse equate, legitimate political speech to actual violence ... and they do it selectively -- as in only against conservatives/Republicans.

Coming in tied for first place was a post on the same topic, Mere Rhetoric's Liberal Anti-Tea Party Outrage Overflowing With Nuance, Amnesia. The picture leading his post says it all.

In the non-council Category, the winners was The Doctor is In's post, In the Doldrums, an eloquent discussion of the problems with the practice of medicine in an era of ligiguosness and with Obamacare looming. Coming in second place was The Volokh Conspiracy's Swift Justice regarding yet another nominee by Obama whose background includes acts damaging to our nation.

There were some great entries this week. You can find them all, as well as the full results of the voting at the Watcher's site.
