Each week, the members of the Watcher's Council nominate one of their own posts and a second from outside the Council for consideration by other council members in a contest for best post. The Watcher publishes the results each Friday. And the results of this weeks voting are in:
First place was my post, Ashura - A New Phase To The Revolution, pointing out that Obama needs to support Iran's nascent revolution and that the revolution itself is now significantly stronger and more militant than in the past months. Coming in second place was an excellent post from the Razor, Hard Choices Needed To Stop Terrorism. In it, he addresses the myriad of things that we should be doing in light of the Christmas Bombers attempt to bring down a plane packed with people.
In the Non-Council category, coming in first place was an excellent post by one of my favorite bloggers, Seraphic Secret. His post, Suicide In Slow Motion, also deals with the problems with our security and the things we should be doing to correct them. Coming in second place was Rhymes With Car & Girls' post, The Smart People Crowd. This was a tongue-in-cheek essay on those who are so hyper intelligent, at least in their own minds, that they are born to lead us by fiat and that anyone who does not agree with them are "Dumb." It is well worth a read.
You can find the full results of the voting here.
And Doug Ross has issued his "2009 Fabulous Fifty Blog Awards," including the Watcher's Council as for "Blog-Ring' Award for Best Group of Affiliated Blogs." Thanks Doug.
