An Uncertain Trumpet

I gave my analysis here of the President's announcement of a surge of 30,000 troops into, and shortly thereafter out of, Afghanistan. Today, Charles Krauthammer renders his verdict on the same. Sayeth Charles:

Remarkable. Go and fight, he tells his cadets — some of whom may not return alive — but I may have to cut your mission short because my real priorities are domestic.

Heh.

Hannity opened his report on the speech with an intro of George C.Scott's Patton speech. What a contrast! Bet those cadets wouldn't have been dozing off with _that_ type of a speech!
