The Watcher's Council Has Voted

Each week, the members of the Watcher's Council nominate one of their own posts and a second from outside the Council for consideration by other council members in a contest for best post. The Watcher publishes the results each Friday. And the results of this weeks voting are in:

In the Council category, coming in first place was The Razor's post Obama versus Carter. The Razor argues that we do not know yet the full negative ramifications of Obama's time in office, thus it is premature to vote for him as worst President of the 20th century, if not ever. He finds, upon reasonable grounds, that Carter should still hold that honor. Coming in second place was Ringside Seats To A Revolution, my discussion of Iran's current situation and the fact that Obama should be doing much more to fan the revolution in that country. Coming in third place was a humorous tour d'force from American Digest - December 31, 2010: Defused Lethal Poem Released by Government. “Safe but Still Sucks” says President. If you need a good laugh, do read it.

On the non-council side, the winning post was Zomblog's - Why America Hates Universal Health Care: The Real Reason, an exceptional essay that has popped up all over the net. Comining in second was Iowahawk's guide to becoming Michael Mann, Fables of the Reconstruction (Or, How to Make Your Own Hockey Stick). Heh. And in third place was a fascinating post for all history buff's, Jason Maoz's article at Commentary, - How Richard Nixon Saved Israel—but Got No Credit. I highly recommend it.

You can find the full results of the voting here.
