The Results Are In

The Watcher of Weasels has tabulated the results for this weeks contest. The results are below.

Council Posts:

The winner this week was an excellent post from Joshua Pundit, Energy Independence -- What It Am And What It Ain't looking at ways that we can become more energy independent. I voted for this one for second place.

Sceond Place was a three way tie between The Colossus of Rhodey's About Those "Lies", Big Lizards How to Lie About Lying, and Bookworm Room's The Media, Richard Scaife, and the Never Ending Soros Connection. All are excellent posts and well worth the read. I had voted Big Lizards for first place this week.

My own post, Orwell's Britain Is Halal Toast, came in third place, tied with Soccer Dad's Complicit.

Non-Council Posts

This weeks winning post was decided on a tie-breaker by the Watcher. The Watcher chose Dr. Sanity's The Conclusion We Dare Not Face as the winning post. This post examines what the ramifications will be if we eventually determine that Islam as a whole is not compatible with decmocracy. I am almost always in agreement with the good doctor. On this one, I am not. I wrote a post on the same topic but coming to a different conclusion - What You Don't Know Could Kill You.

The second places posts were the Hoover Institution's A Moral Core for U.S. Foreign Policy, Classical Values's Be a Victim! Or Else!, and Gates of Vienna's The Muslims of Europe Charter. I happened to disagree with the first of this troika, and voted for the last two for first and second place, respectively. My own submission in the Non-Council category was TNOY's Britain's Top 9 New Names For Islamic Terrorists. It was humorous, but failed to make the tote board.
