Phantom Of The Opera

My daughter's birthday present to me, five months ago, were tickets for she and I to Andrew Lloyd Weber's Phantom of the Opera, playing at the Fox in Atlanta yesterday. The acting and choreography were exceptional, the vocalists consumate professionals (not the original cast - I would have loved to see Sarah Brightman, but her replacement was almost as good), and the music stirring and soothing on a deeply visceral level. It was as close to a perfect evening as I can recall in years.
