Given all the problems Obama has with female voters after his campaign's perceived treatment of Hillary, comparing Gov. Sarah Palin to a pig is not merely very low class, its also incredibly stupid.
And, lest there be any doubt that he was referring to Palin, his following comment was just as clearly as directed at John McCain - "You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called ‘change,’ . . . it’s still gonna stink after eight years." Both analogies are more than a bit disrespectful. Instapundit has a big roll-up of comments and links. One would think that Obama is smart enough to realize the impact of his words. Sure, the true believers at the Obama rally ate it up. Let's see how the middle and the PUMA folks react. Perhaps Obama can get some of his money back on that Harvard diploma.

Obama shouldn't have thrown all those people under his bus - cause now the wheels are coming off!
I thought Obama's old fish remark was directed at Gov. Palin not Senator McCain. Remember this old chestnut? (WARNING: CRUDE AND POLITICALLY INCORRECT JOKE TO FOLLOW)
What did the blind man say as he walked past the fish shop?
"Good morning, ladies."
;^)
Rapper calls his own woman a "ho"; Obama calls Palin a pig...
The point being that no matter what pretensions Obama makes, his roots are showing.
